"No.." He replied, looking down. "They’d ask how it happened and I wouldn’t know what to tell them. I can’t tell them the truth Ezra.. I don’t want to end up in care." Hunter sniffled before looking back up at the other boy. "You can’t tell anyone. You have to promise me you won’t tell anyone."
"You could just tell them you got beat up in school. You don’t have to tell them that… well, I’m assuming your parents did it…. Am I right?" He asked, hoping he hadn’t offended the boy if he was wrong.
Sawyer nuzzled his cheek then and grinned some. “Its okay, but I think its cute you’re all worried about hurting me.” he turned Ezra’s face and kissing his nose. “I still won’t kiss you until you brush your teeth.”
"Yeah, like, your body is already sucking at being a body, I don’t want to make it any worse you know?" Ezra pouted. "But I don’t even have a toothbrush here! Actually I think I do, but it might be somewhere in Jayson’s room."
Sawyer rocked back and forth, calming himself before he turned some to curl into Ezra’s arms again. “I can’t get turned on…it pulls the stitches.” he whispered to him, kissing his cheek.
"Oh.. I got really scared. I’m sorry. I definitely won’t be turning you on anymore until you say it’s okay." he pressed his lips to Sawyer’s forehead for a few seconds before sighing. "I’m sorry," he repeated.
Sawyer sat up in his bed as he watched tv, his new port put in to make chemo easier. He hadn’t seen his new boyfriend all day and the word itself, made him giggle and butterflies in his stomach. He hoped Ezra would come by soon.
Ezra stood outside the Starkman house and smoked half a cigarette before spraying himself with cologne and putting the bottle back in his backpack. He’d just gotten out of a Saturday class and wanted to see his boyfriend. He let himself in using the spare key and went up to Sawyer’s room.
Sawyer nodded, leaning his head on Ezra’s shoulder as he walked. “Yeah, but I come back tomorrow and then I have surgery on saturday morning, but its no big deal.” he kissed Ezra’s cheek. “Can you give me a ride home?”
Ezra nodded, wrapping his arm more securely around Sawyer’s waist. “Yeah, and maybe I can stay and cuddle for a bit too,” he said with a small smile.
Sawyer reached for Ezra’s hand and started to play with his fingers. “You don’t care that I’m sick?” He looked up at him, biting his lip.
Ezra shook his head, letting Sawyer play with his fingers. “Oh, right.”
He murmured, giving him a small smile. “Well I had forgotten you were sick… So yes, even though you’re sick,” he said, his smile growing.
